Elders (Session)

  • Bukky Akinbola, Elder

Our family moved to Carmel in 2000 from Delaware Country, PA. We researched PCA churches in the Indianapolis area as we were making plans for the move.  We quickly settled in to Christ Community Church. Nene and I have been married for more than thirty years. We were both raised in Christian homes and came to profess faith in the Lord later in life. We have three sons and a daughter-in-law. We are truly blessed as we have found a loving community at Christ Community Church. We consider it a privilege and give thanks to the LORD for the opportunities we have to serve in various ministries at the church. We thank the LORD for giving us  a home church were we worship, pray and serve.

  • Greg Borgard, Elder

Greg Borgard was born and raised near St. Louis, Missouri in a Christian home with loving parents and three older brothers. He met his bride Diane while attending Purdue University, and they married while both in graduate school at the University of Wisconsin. Since marriage, Greg's career as a chemical engineer has led them back to St. Louis, then Sheboygan, Wisconsin, and finally to Indiana where he works for Eli Lilly. They were blessed with three children. Since moving to the Carmel area in 2008 they have attended Christ Community Church and have enjoyed seeing their children grow in the faith. Greg joined the Session in the fall of 2015.

  • Paul De Witt, Elder

Paul has been married to his wife Tracy since 1987. They were both raised in Christian homes and have been truly blessed to be able to raise their 4 children here at CCC. Native to California, Paul and Tracy moved to Fishers IN in February of 2000 for a job transfer. Paul has worked in the heavy duty transportation industry since 1995 and Tracy has been a bookkeeper since 1991. Tracy is serving as the Business Manager at CCC. Paul and Tracy are actively involved with the Youth Ministry and in Community Groups at CCC. They both love spending time with family and friends and enjoying outdoor adventures any chance they can get.

  • Brent Huber, Elder

Brent is married to his wife, Julia, and they have two children, Madeline and Morgan. They love to travel as a family, learn and explore, and celebrate God's grace, forgiveness and goodness. Julia is a homemaker and Brent is a partner in a large law firm in Indianapolis, with an active private law practice. They are active in the community and at CCC, where Brent serves as Clerk of the Session, the board of elders at CCC.

  • Bill Kennedy, Elder

Bill & Judy Kennedy have been married 35 years with four grown children (2 married) and four grandchildren. Bill is an  aero/mechanical engineer and manager who retired from the Air Force and worked for Rolls-Royce here in Indy designing/making engines for aircraft and helicopters. Bill and Judy have lived in Carmel over 27 years and helped found CCC after similar church planting experiences in the Washington DC area. They have loved seeing the work God has done through CCC and the growth of the people and families of the church, not only in the Indy area but on the mission field. They look forward to the things He will be doing using His church here at Main and Gray in the next phase of its growth.

  • Scott Livermore, Elder

Scott Livermore grew up not far from Carmel, but his work with the high school ministry of Cru has taken his family all over (Phoenix, Chattanooga, Orlando and now back home again in Indiana). Scott and Kristin have been married for more than 25 years and have 4 wonderful children. Kristin started out life in the Chicago area and her family relocated to Chattanooga when she was in middle school. The LIvermores spend a lot of time with teenagers (most of which are not their own). The rest of their time outside of family is spent investing in the lives of people God has placed in their lives. A favorite thing for them to do is cheer on their children in their various endeavors.

  • Bassam Nader, Elder

Bassam Nader has been a church elder for over three decades. His passion is discipleship, especially of men. He has an advanced degree in organic synthesis chemistry and spent his vocational career as a research scientist with a global corporation. He is semi-retired, working part-time in intellectual property at a law firm in downtown Indianapolis. Randa is a teacher at a local high school, and is also passionate about helping women grow in their faith. Bassam and Randa were originally raised in the country of Lebanon.

"Christ Community has been our 'extended family' for over 21 years, during which Randa and I have been blessed to have the church help us in the spiritual formation of our 4 daughters and raising them to adulthood. It has been a joyous privilege to serve this wonderful community of Christ-followers as an elder-shepherd couple."
