Winter Retreat 2025

Registration is live for Winter Retreat 2025! Our theme this year is community, and we'll be exploring what it means to be united to each other because we have been united to Christ. Here are the details:

• Location: This year we are staying at an large Airbnb in Waddy, KY (about 45 minutes west of Lexington). It's a huge house that will accommodate all of us, and a few parents have agreed to join and be in charge of the food!
  • On Saturday afternoon, we will spend a few hours at Activate, an active gaming facility in Lexington. It's kind of hard to describe, so check out their website.
• Timing: Friday, February 14 through Sunday, February 16
  • We will meet at the church on Friday at 5:30 to check in, eat a quick dinner, and get on the road.
  • We will return to the church around 3:30pm on Sunday afternoon (this is later than in years past). There is no youth group that evening.
• Cost: $150
  • This includes food (Friday dinner through Sunday lunch), lodging, and Activate on Saturday.
  • Some scholarships are available, so please reach out to Brad if that will make it possible for your student to attend!
  • Discounts for first-time students and families sending multiple students are also available, and details are on the registration page.
• Monday afternoon
  
  • We have traditionally included a fun afternoon activity on President's Day, since public schools are closed. This year we will be at Koteewi Slopes in Noblesville. We'll meet at the church at 1pm and plan on being back between 3:30 and 4pm.
  • Current 5th graders are invited to join us! This is a great way for them to start getting to know some of the middle and high schoolers as they prepare to join the Student Ministry next year.
  • Cost will be $35 for 5th graders, and $40 for middle and high schoolers. This is an optional activity, and so it is an add-on item on the registration page, not included in the Friday-Saturday cost listed above.
• Paperwork
  • As always, there is a retreat-specific release form that needs to be filled out for each student.
  • Everyone who registers will be sent a parent summary packet and a packing list.
