Kids Ministry Director

HOURS: FULL TIME (40)
SUPERVISOR: SENIOR PASTOR

Spiritual Requirements

• Doctrinal agreement with Christ Community Church.
• Walk closely with Jesus, pursuing deep relationship with him through personal worship, prayer, and growth opportunities. 
• Attend worship regularly and pursue discipleship and accountability through Bible studies and other opportunities provided through the church. 
• Seek to continue to grow and develop skills and passion for ministry through books, resources, training, etc.

Kids Ministry

Develop a strategy and plan for ages 0-5th grade that is in line with Christ Community values and mission focusing on:  

1. Exalt God’s Glory 
   • Lead in worship with children and volunteers. 
   • Oversee curriculum selection and development to allow children of all ages to experience God and the Gospel deeply. 
   • Plan and implement weekly Kids Ministry programming for growth and discipleship of children. 
2. Equip God’s People 
   • Screen and recruit volunteers for all areas of Kids Ministry. 
   • Provide training, coaching, and opportunities for volunteers to grow together in areas of discipleship and ministry to children.
   • Provide regular meetings, in order to have connections, and times of prayer with volunteers. 
3. Extend God’s Kingdom 
   • Initiate follow up and connection with first time visitors, regular attenders, and member families. 
   • Plan and implement special Kids Ministry events to create opportunities for kids and families to engage in outreach in the community.

Administration

1. Regularly attend and participate in staff meetings. Meet regularly with the Senior Pastor. 
2. Oversee and plan yearly for a Kids Ministry budget. 
3. Manage staffing, curriculum preparation, and ministry rooms on a weekly basis. 
4. Oversee creation and updating of printed material, website, and other information as needed (i.e. info for visitors, descriptions on website, newsletters) 
5. Regularly evaluate and ensure all Kids Ministry policies (safety, security, classroom management, etc.)

Other Requirements

• Experience: 2 years of ministry experience
• Education: a four-year college degree
